Heritage Reimagined
Located in the heart of Pune, Kailasha is a residence designed for a family that values its roots as much as its modern lifestyle. The brief was to weave together the warmth of Indian heritage with the clean lines of contemporary architecture—creating a home that feels timeless, airy, and deeply personal.
The Design Narrative: Where Tradition Meets Today
At PASHA, we approached Kailasha with the intent of "Modern Indianism." We stripped away the heaviness often associated with traditional decor, instead focusing on craftsmanship, light, and flow.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- The Sacred Center (Mandir): Following Vastu principles, we designed an East-facing Mandir that redefines traditional worship spaces. Eschewing the traditional "enclosed room," we created an open-concept sanctuary. It serves as a spiritual focal point that feels light and integrated into the home’s daily flow, using modern materials to evoke a sense of ancient peace.
Social & Soulful Spaces:
A primary request was a dedicated zone for the family to bond. We designed a high-tech binge-watching lounge—a plush, comfortable area engineered for movie nights and shared laughter, blending premium acoustics with cozy, Indian-inspired textiles.
The Culinary Hub: The kitchen is a masterclass in efficiency. Fully equipped with state-of-the-art modern appliances, it features a streamlined layout that caters to gourmet cooking while maintaining a clean, minimalist aesthetic.
The Great Outdoors (Patio & Baths): Transitioning outside, the serene patio offers a breath of fresh air—perfect for Pune’s evenings. We extended this attention to detail to the guest and master bathrooms, ensuring they feel like private spas with clean lines, premium fixtures, and a focus on absolute comfort.
The Result
Kailasha is a home that doesn't choose between the past and the future—it celebrates both. It is a space where a modern Pune family can host a high-tech movie night or a traditional morning prayer with equal ease and elegance.
